Several years ago, the word “Danshari”, literally meaning: refusal, disposal and separation, was everywhere. This exhibition explores why people hang onto things they no longer need, such as souvenirs from trips, bits and pieces they made as children, and so on. The two artists were asked to recreate objects that had meaning to them, encouraging viewers to peer through their drawers at home and reconnect with the things they have refused to throw away.
