Photographers Oliver Sieber and Katja Stuke explore concepts of identity, fashion or social questions and they are both are very interested in how the reception of images change depending on juxtaposition, the form of an exhibition/publication or the appearance of each single image. In this exhibition they have juxtaposed portraits from Japan, China, the US and Europe under the uniting theme: “Do you never feel the need to be another?” The artists experiment with different forms of presentation, printing and finishing photographic images such that the viewer can distinguish the content of the photograph as separate from its aesthetic appeal or any other elements.
