Hiroshi Mitsui continues to travel in search of the many sacred places filled with spirituality led by human activity. These 40 black and white photographs portray the unique Christianity blended with ancient nature worship in Ireland’s “High Cross Country,” Lithuania’s “Hill of Crosses,” a place that retains an atmosphere of silent resistance in the face of multiple invasions by other countries, and the “Cheerful Graves” of Romania, the only eastern European country with Latin descendents.
