This October the theatre troupe Ishinha will hold its first outdoor public performance in Osaka in ten years. Gearing up for this event, Art Area B1 presents stage photographs, footage, posters, and more related to the group’s activities thus far. However, this exhibition does not merely look back at previous plays, but evokes the feeling of the Ishinha stage with a structure made out of several hundred logs. Visitors can see a model of the new stage to be used this autumn and experience the movements of the actors in this space. There will also be lectures, a prologue to the upcoming performance, and various other events.
