Yuiko Miyake’s works are investigations of her own existence, expressing life, death, the physical, and the spiritual from her own unique perspective. In “Death, Vestiges, Funeral (Bones)” (2012), she combined a superb installation encompassing themes of transience and beauty with a performance of her own funeral, leaving viewers stunned. This exhibition turns the gallery into Miyake’s private space, creating an out-of-body-like experience that will put visitors on pins and needles.
