Perhaps there is no other country in the world with as many vending machines as Japan. With convenience stores and vending machines we are able to buy food and drink 24 hours. For those living in Japan this is just part of the everyday landscape but upon realizing the oddity of this scene compared to other countries Hikari Ohkawara has begun to take the vending machine as the subject of his work.
