Born in and raised in Kobe Hide Kawanishi had a deep love for the city and incorporated its scenes into his work, becoming in turn much loved by the people of Kobe. His images have come to appear on towels, match boxes, book covers and Christmas cards and here over 100 of his designs are on show, revealing the unique sensibility of his world.
