Displaying pictures of thatch-roof houses across Japan by Kiyoshi Takai, who has spent the past 40 years photographing traditional Japanese housing and architecture. Thatch-roof dwellings were the first type of house to be built in Japan, and are influenced by their local regions. These photographs capture the structure and beauty of a unique form of Japanese house that is disappearing.
