The 120 film format, being larger than regular 35mm film allows one to capture a high resolution with a shallow depth of field, and in use with medium format can create images of varying sizes, which combined with camera functions of twin lens reflex and waist level viewfinder allows one to capture a sense of distance distinct from the everyday eye level vision of the world. This exhibition celebrates the unique possibilities of brownie film through a wide variety of photographs taken with this medium.
