Gaining international acclaim in the 90s Shoji Ueda　took a leap in a direction from his fresh color photographs and multi-exposure photographic collages coming to create miniature sand dune landscapes in his studio and construct microcosms of objects upon his kitchen table to be captured in photography. This was a new turn of work for him, while also functioning as a form of diary of his inner dialogue at the time. This exhibition presents early work of Ueda rarely seen in public before, revealing his passion for and experimentation in the photographic medium.
