Keisuke Nagoshi “Blue Fire”

Canon Gallery Umeda

This event has ended.

The volcano Kawah Ijen, found in the East of Java island, Indonesia, forms a radiant blue flame as it burns the surrounding sulfur, and while appearing like an earthly paradise is also a place of grueling sulfur mining, where poisonous gases often overcome the poor laborers working across the volcanic slopes. And it is this dark side of paradise that Keisuke Nagoshi captures with his camera.
