This exhibit focuses on Hideto Sugano’s “neo-surrealist” series of digitally distorted snapshots, on which plants and other objects have been transposed. By replicating and warping these photographs, Sugano reproduces themes of time, space, framing, and fiction in a process rooted in the concept of interchangeable elements.
