Many of the industries that once supported Japan now lie in ruins. Traveling across the country to the sites of old Japan’s industrial bases, camera woman Atsuko Maehata came to understand the path Japan has taken through the scenes before her eyes and conversations with those involved. Conveying this history to the present, this photo exhibition lets you explore these important industrial ruins, which serve as living textbooks.
