The works of Jessica Yadira Pérez Flores deal with the “interventions” that occur in a place. They detail the various random occurences and inevitabilities that come up in the relationship between space and oneself. Flores’s black and white photographs create awareness of light’s many movements produced in time. In her first exhibition in Japan, she presents works from her “Line” series created at her studio in Mexico City’s Centro neighborhood, where Spanish colonialism retains its greatest influence. These works are open to many interpretations.
