Platinum Print / Alternative Process meets Tosahakkinshi
Cohju Contemporary Art
This event has ended.
Developed in Kochi, a place with a long history of producing Japanese paper, Tosahakkinshi is a new kind of Japanese paper used for platinum prints. This exhibition presents Tosahakkinshi prints of the works of Mark and Kristen Sink and Francis Schanberger, three U.S.-based photographers, and Satoru Yoshioka, a Kochi native. It also explains the process of how Tosahakkinshi was developed, giving viewers a sense of the beauty and new possibilities to be found in combining photography and Japanese paper.
