This event has ended.

“Lookism” implies appearance-based supremacism and discrimination. In today’s Korean society, what is well-decorated on the surface is assumed to be good, and beauty is emphasized over ability to the extent that individuality is sacrificed and similar-looking faces are mass-produced. In this exhibition, artist Ji-Hyun Kim confronts this culture of lookism and grapples with the notion of what is truly of value in a person.
