This event has ended.

Osamu Tezuka created some 700 manga before his death at age 60, including masterpieces such as “Astro Boy,” “Kimba the White Lion,” and “Phoenix.” Experimenting with many artistic techniques, he explored themes of nature and science, life and death, love and hate, humanity and the universe, and war and peace. To his readers, his manga are foundations to be returned to again and again during times of crisis or struggle.

This exhibition, based on a 2012 show at Tokyo’s Setagaya Literary Museum, commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Takarazuka City Tezuka Osamu Manga Museum with manuscripts, publications, and other documents that shed light on Tezuka’s work.
