With the convenience and comfort of our lifestyles today, it is easy to forget how to feel. By slowing things down in this increasingly fast society, other things can be realized. In these digital times overflowing with information, it is sometimes necessary to strip the world of color and the information associated with it, in order to see the real essence of things. Tatsuya Donkai chooses to take photographs with monochrome film for this very reason.
In contrast to the better known tourist spots, the photos exhibited represent the charming and understated moments that are often overlooked in everyday Kyoto.
