Hisao Taira “Socotra Island— The Land of Peculiar, Time-Shaping Plants”

Yamamoto Gallery

This event has ended.

Yemen’s Socotra Island in the African Somali Peninsula is known for its unique plant life, and has been designated as a World Heritage site. The plants on this island have unusual shapes, and while there Hisao Taira sensed that the environment and time itself were being condensed by form. His photographs express this time shaped by form. This exhibition is part of KG+, the satellite project of Kyotographie.
