Kayo Funada uses various media, such as painting, photography, video, installation, and performance, to express her relationship and states of desire with her mother. The works confront the issues of maternal love and the conflicts that arose during her upbringing. The co-dependent mother-child relationship and the contradictory everyday emotions of happiness and unfulfilled desire are developed.
An opening performance has also been planned.
