Hisato Nagano continues his studies on the “Five Insects,” in relation to the Five Elements or Five Phases of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water, which were understood in Ancient China to be the prime energetic sources from which all material substance in the phenomenal world is composed. The five elements are used to describe how things interact and relate with each other. However, there is still little understanding and examination of how the “Five Insects” relate in the perspective of the Five Elements.
