Last year’s exhibition, the first in the 78th Mini-Exhibition series, presented “Kyoto Youth— Students and War in Images.” This year’s show focuses on students in the economic boom years of the 1960s and 1970s. During this time of rapid economic expansion, student life involved rebellions against the contradictions in society and the glorification of youth. This exhibition is part of the 19th Kyoto Museum Road series featuring exhibitions and workshops at historical and art museums around the city of Kyoto.
