This event has ended.

Pine trees, which remain green year-round, are symbols of nobility, longevity, prosperity, and good fortune in both eastern and western art. They have been featured in Chinese painting since ancient times, and classical Japanese art also offers countless examples of them in poetry and painting. This exhibition is part of a series shown at three museums, each focusing on pine, bamboo, or plum trees, the auspicious trinity of Japanese landscapes. Introducing the various forms and meanings of pine trees, visitors can experience the rich traditions of eastern and western cultures embodied in the figure of this familiar tree cherished throughout the generations.
