Hisayuki Nomura presented an installation of world maps at the Kyoto Prefectural Center for Arts & Culture in 1971. His “Cylinder Series” began in 1973 with an exploration of methods for modeling later maps, which steered him to the cylindrical form. This exhibition is a continuation of this series.
