The World Press Photo Event, now in its 57th year, presents the winning entries of the World Press Photo Contest, an annual competition held by the Netherlands-based World Press Photo Foundation. The exhibition has been held at Ritsumeikan University every year since 1995. Featuring cutting-edge technology and photojournalism, these photos have the power to vividly portray realities to audiences. The museum hopes that by reflecting on these powerful images of the world, people will play their own parts in changing and bringing it peace.
