“150 Years of the Red Cross - Life Caught in Conflict”
The Kyoto University Museum
This event has ended.
Marking 150 years of the Red Cross through a photography exhibition tracing the long history of this important charity. The International Committee of the Red Cross was first established in 1863, with the intention of aiding those injured in war, without discrimination. The following year the Geneva Convention brought 16 states into agreement upon the need for impartial medical aid for all injured in war. This was further developed after Word War II and is now recognized by all countries around the world. Come and share in the achievements of the Red Cross in this special exhibition.
