Photographer Takaaki Ooe studies the subtleties that arise unexpectedly among people and nature in the day-to-day life. These small moments that usually go unobserved seem wholly as if they are whispering to us, and Ooe quietly pick up on these whispers with a clear-sighted gaze. Words fall away while looking at these photographs, which quietly penetrate and thaw the viewer’s heart. Ooe’s eye and intuition as a photographer never wavers, even amid changes in time and environment. It is this perspective that sets him on a course as a photographer unlike any other.
This exhibition is part of KG+, the satellite project of Kyotographie.
