Nobuko Watanabe’s simple and graceful compositions are created by stretching cotton cloth of monochrome or striped design across a wooden frame. The combination of beautiful curves and hollows created by the caught cloth, and the corresponding softness and tension of these forms, have attracted interest in her work internationally.
This large-scale exhibition centers around her recent works and commemorates the recent publication of her collection of works.
