Kunisaki Peninsula, situated in the northeast of Oita Prefecture in Kyushu, is an area with diverse attractions, from its rich nature to its unique historical culture of religious syncretism - mixing Shinto and Buddhism - and its agricultural and fisheries industries that have been recognized as a “Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System.” This collection of photographs by Naoki Ishikawa show the ordinary and the extraordinary in the Kunisaki Peninsula.
