Kobo Daishi and the Mt. Takano Pilgrimage

The monk, scholar, and artist Kukai (known posthumously as Kobo Daishi) established Kongobu Shrine on Mount Takano in 816. This exhibition introduces the history of this pilgrimage site marking its 1200th anniversary next year.
