Using existing printed materials such as books, newspapers and flyers, Makoto Morimura examines the relationship of people and information. In this exhibition Morimura presents a “Fictional City” using preexisting maps of Osaka and the Kansai region, inspired by the phantom town Argleton, a town that appeared on Google Maps in 2008 that does not actually exist.
