This event has ended.

Osaka is a city that developed thanks to trade by water, and in the Meiji period was dubbed the “city of waterways”. After the Second World War, rail and automobiles came to the fore and the waterways were filled in, threatening to erase the traces of those roots. Recently, the authorities are attempting to revive Osaka as the “city of waterways” by cleaning up the waterways, for example Nakanoshima and Doutonbori, and holding various events to bring vitality back to the waterside.
Canon Photo Club Osaka, based in Osaka, has put together this exhibition about the “city of waterways”.
