This event has ended.

Since the age of the tea ceremony master Sen no Rikyu and the first Raku ceramics artist Chojiro, artisans have continued the legacy of Raku ware while adding their own unique additions to the art, diversifying its glazes, decorations, and types of works. Tea bowls and utensils bearing the standard designs of the Senke family derived from Sen no Rikyu since ancient times are designated as “Rikyu Gata.” These handmade creations also boast a rich legacy with unique creativity giving rise to new innovations in tea ware.
