Inspired by news of the expulsion of an invasive species of black bass in Lake Biwa, this installation of self-portraits by Japanese and other nationalities explores displacement in animals’ artificial environments, asking questions about individual originality and diversity through examinations of relationships between borders and peoples and different species including humans.
