Exhibition Draft 2015: Masumi Kawamura “Birdsong”

Parasophia’s Exhibition Draft program selects a publicly submitted exhibition idea to put on display. This year’s winner is Masumi Kawamura, who will present her records of people and events she encountered in Taiwan. Her subjects include the family of a Japanese and Taiwanese married couple.

Kawamura’s previous works have dealt with themes of relationships with others. In this exhibition she picks up on personal experiences that do not often receive attention in Taiwan and Japan, thereby attempting to produce new historical narratives. There will be events featuring other Parasophia artists.
