Presenting the work of Magnum Photos photographer Martine Franck, who was born in Antwerp but studied art history at the Ecole du Louvre in Paris, where she began her career as a photographer. She also founded in Paris with Henri Cartier-Bresson, the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson. Martine Franck made portraits of artists and writers, but her main focus was humanitarian reportages. Selected for this exhibition are 60 signed original prints, organised under the sections of “Children,” “Portraits,” “Ireland,” and “Bresson and Friends.”
