Photographs of the Great Apes species – orangutans, gorillas, chimpanzees, and bonobos, all four of which are facing risk of extinction. Takahiro Maekawa, who travels the globe photographing wildlife, has been working on a project to document all the monkey species of the world since 2011. These images convey the beauty of these animals, with which Maekawa has spent long periods of time.
