This event has ended.

The Meiji era, the Taisho era and the Showa era: those were the times when Japan experienced great changes in construction, with new techniques arriving from the west. The workers and craftsmen developed these skills within a short period of time, enhancing Japan’s success in modernization. This exhibition reveals what technological innovations arose from this process and how this changed the architecture of Japan through valuable data discovered from architectural firms and other institutions.
