An exhibition of works by Yasutake Iwana and Akira Miyanaga. Yasutake Iwana creates from the images of his hometown village, Shimagahara, and the Kannon-Yama behind the temple or his sketches of flowers. His poems or texts, written on the surface or on the unseen bottom layer of the canvas, obtain a powerful image and combine into his work. Akira Miyanaga creates by the method of superimposing various materials onto a photographed video. The images are synthesized through distortion and the overlapping of fragments. The intricate layer structures are sensed as “dislocation” and lead us to a new threshold of consciousness.
These images consolidate into “Lamellar”.
