Shigeo Iwasawa (1927－2009), a landscape artist known for both the detail and grandeur of his paintings, contributed significantly to the development of Japanese painting. In addition to wall paintings for Kinkakuji Temple, Iwasawa also produced experimental abstract works. This exhibition looks back on his career with paintings of flowers, Mt. Fuji, and painting tools from his personal collection.
