This exhibition is like a note we take of our daily actions. When simple actions from our daily life are gathered and preserved in a systematic way, they are called manners. And when we re-observe the word “manners,” we can interpret it both as a constructed rule and as a rule for creation. Each of the four artists in this exhibition have speculated on verbs relating to simple actions such as “scrape / paint / read / reside”, and building their own systems for creation. The aim of this exhibition is to ask questions about the way things ought to be by presenting the relationship of such systems with us and our surroundings.
