An exhibition by Catalan artist Berta Sesé. Born in Barcelona, Spain, and based in Paris, France, since 2002 where she worked as a fashion designer for twelve years, Berta has since devoted herself exclusively to art. The artist’s work alternates between painting and photography, which in her eyes are two complementary forms of expression without borders. Her photographic work is based on the minute perception and observation of our daily lives, through an interpretation of the details it conceals.
MacroCosmos is a digital photography series that invites us into microcosmic interstellar travel in pre-human scale. Micro becomes Macro and reveals the global strength of the universe. Berta Sesé’s work is inspired by research from the infinitely small to the infinitely big, as in quantum mathematics and fractals. She leads us to appreciate the bond between detail and whole; what she passionately names the “overworlds”.
