Ashiya City in Hyogo Prefecture has a long history of photography. Active in Ashiya are two photographers, Kanbee Hanaya and Susumu Shinya, who work with analog and digital photography.
Pursuing the creation and discovery of a new kind of beauty from Ashiya, Kanbee Hanaya and Susumu Shinya challenge the role that photography plays in both analog and digital times.
