This exhibition invites viewers to think about memory and change in historic cities such as Kyoto and Seoul, where old streetscapes disappear amid the pressure to demolish and rebuild. Through black and white film photographs, the exhibition follows the process of “redevelopment” in the Gyonam-dong neighborhood of Seoul, from the first stages of demolition to the rising of the new apartment towers.
