After the Great East Japan Earthquake and nuclear accident, The Hama Naka Aizu Culture Project was started in 2012 as a way of revitalizing Fukushima through the power of arts and culture. Run by a branch of the Fukushima Museum, Fukushima universities, cultural institutions, and NPOs, the project presents artwork created through its activities that speak to the state of the Fukushima recovery and invite everyone to think together about issues we should all face together.
