Gakei Gimlet SAAS introduces the work of Takeshi Mita to Kansai, focusing on a selection of photographs from his 2015 Canon New Cosmos of Photography Award-winning series “On the Contour Line,” as well as new and recent works. Mita collects images and footage from sharing websites and reproduces them on photo paper before altering and photographing them himself. Giving new depths to places and images, he seems to be portaying a continuously travelling adventurer while touching both directly and indirectly on the “experiences” we view in archives.
