Kyoto City University of the Arts will relocate to the Sujin district, where Yanagihara Bank Memorial Museum is located. The museum’s archives contain many photographs of local people, including commemorative and family photos as well as shots that capture their everyday lives. This exhibition spotlights these nameless people not appearing in any history books, taking an original approach to the “deracinated” (uprooted) images no longer in their possession and giving them space for a new life.
