Asako Tanaka is an artist with a growing following in the Kansai area who has just released her first photography collection. Masaya Hashimoto is a Kangawa-based artist who creates sculptures out of animal bones and plants. Both of their works express sensitive and original perspectives on nature and intimate aspects of their lives while evoking an “otherness” felt in familiar surroundings. They quietly affirm art’s vital role in a turbulent world.
