Through the seven-year series “Hataraku Fufu Kankei” (On Working Couples) for the weekly magazine Aera, photographer Kitchen Minoru searched for answers to the question “What are spousal relationships?” Yet in his encounters with these couples he found that each relationship is unique, a one-of-a-kind process of trial and error between two humans who were once strangers. His photographs are richly imbued with the individuality of the couples in them.
