Just as one can feel discomfort listening to a recording of their own voice, there is a distinct gap between the world that is seen through the eyes, and the world that is seen through a photograph. Akane Saito presents a four year documentation of her younger sister through 29 color photographs, which stem from her fascination with how our subconscious self-image is altered on realizing the difference between our own image and the one that is projected in a photograph.
